Mary Griego Lucero, 87, died peacefully on July 30, 1998. Born in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, she also lived in Espanola, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Isidro Lucero; and her mother, Emma Griego. She is survived by her son, John (Johnny) Lucero, his wife, Conchita (Connie); and two grandchildren, Lynne Lucero-Arendall and Dean Lucero. Also surviving are sisters, Irene Valdez, Genevieve Watling, and Lillian Maestas, all of the Espanola area. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Friday, August 7, 1998, 11:30 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7500 Paseo del Norte NE (corner of Wyoming and Paseo del Norte), with Father Paul Baca, Celebrant. Ennichement will follow in the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Charity for the Homeless and Elderly, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque 87109.
