Obituary for LaPine

Virginia McManus LaPine, 91, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, November 3, 1998. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Alfred (Bill) LaPine; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Salzman; and a brother, John B. McManus, Jr. Mrs. LaPine taught in the Albuquerque Public Schools for 44 years, retiring in 1969 as music director. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Mrs. LaPine was also member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Cremation has taken place and a memorial rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Place SE. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Casa Angelica Home, 5629 Isleta Blvd. SW, 87105. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
