Obituary for Saiz

Bolivar B. Saiz, 61, a resident of La Joya, passed away on November 5, 1998. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in La Joya. He worked for the Socorro County road department as a grader operator for 11 years. He also worked for the Los Lunas training school for ten years. Bolivar loved music, singing and traveling, and enjoyed working with heavy equipment. Bolivar was preceded in death by his mother, Sotera Esquibel and father, Andres Saiz. He is survived by his son, Andrew Saiz and his wife, Susanna of Belen; daughter, Charlee and her boyfriend, Gabriel Gurule; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Claudine Esquibel, Andrea Benavidez, and Lupe Fields; one brother, Robert Martinez; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held on Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Romero Funeral Home. Rosary will also be held on Friday, 6:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in La Joya. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. also at Our Lady of Sorrows. Interment will follow at the La Joya Catholic Cemetery. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
