Obituary for Ferguson

Helen G. Ferguson, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since the 1940's, died Friday, October 23, 1998, at the Casa Maria Alzheimers Center. She is survived by her nieces, Virginia Doyle and husband, Philip of Rio Rancho and Thelma Koonz of Clearwater, FL; and nephews, John McAllister of Hot Springs Village, AR and Francis McAllister of Rothesay, New Brunswick, Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth H. Ferguson, in October, 1986. Mrs. Ferguson was a graduate of the Gorham Normal School in Maine, the University of Maine, and Columbia University. For many years, she taught at Sombra del Monte Elementary School here in Albuquerque. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Monday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Dr. Richard D. Freeman officiating. Private interment will take place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Casa Maria Alzheimers Center, 1024 Lead Ave. SW 87102.
