Obituary for Asquith

Elsie W. Asquith, passed away in Sacramento on September 25, 1998 at the age of 95. She was born on August 24, 1903. She was the loving mother of Allan Asquith; devoted grandmother of Michael, Charles, Matthew, and Christine; and great-grandmother of eight. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles. Mrs. Asquith was a 30 year employee of the U.S. Soil Conservation Service. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. After retiring she became active in the community, volunteering many hours at the Merced Community Medical Center, and playing with the Offbeats Band. Friends are welcome for visitation on Monday, September 28, 1998, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and a service on Tuesday, September 29 at 2:00 p.m., all at East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Lane. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque.
