Willa T. Hatch, 81, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 1998. Willa was retired as a cook for road construction crews. She enjoyed working outdoors, especially in her garden, where she loved cultivating roses. She was preceded in death by her husband, Starns"Duke" Hatch in 1991; brothers, Alvin Burton in 1992 and Bob Burton in 1993 and Richard Burton in 1958. Willa is survived by her sisters, Nina Crawford Nellis and husband, Ralph of Grants, NM, Maudie B. Crawford of Los Lunas and Sybil Wilson of Medford, OR; and one brother, John G. Burton Jr. and wife, Beverly of Austin, TX. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Romero Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at Terrace Grove Cemetery with Pastor Mike Sams of the First Baptist Church in Los Lunas, officiating. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
