Jene L. Forney, 82, died Thursday, September 17, 1998. He is survived by his daughter, Jan F. Hosea and husband, Bruce of Albuquerque; and brother, Bill E. Forney and wife, Sue of Tulsa, OK. Mr. Forney was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy R. Forney in 1991. He recently moved to Albuquerque from Tulsa, OK where he lived for 75 years. Mr. Forney was a veteran of WWII as an Army Air Corps Pilot. He volunteered for the Tulsa Police Department and the Tulsa Chapter of the American Red Cross. Services will be held Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at The Cathedral Church of St. John, 318 Silver Ave, SW with the very Rev. David F. K. Puckett, Rev. Canon Byron McDougall, and Rev. Canon Rhonda S. McIntire officiating. Interment will take place Thursday, 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park in Tulsa, OK. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. John's Cathedral Vision Fund, 318 Silver Ave, SW, 87102. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd, NE.
