Obituary for Kormendi

Helen M. Kormendi, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1969, died Sunday, April 5, 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Hicks of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Deborah Langley of Trinidad, CO, and Douglas Hicks of Hobbs, NM; great-granddaughter, Ashlee Hicks of Albuquerque; sisters, Lucille Eliason of DeSoto, TX and Hilda Malone of Parma, OH; brother-in-law, William Kormendi of Euclid, OH; and many other family and friends. Mrs. Kormendi was a volunteer for many years at the Anna Kaseman Hospital gift shop. She taught china painting at the Palo Duro Senior Citizens Center. Mrs. Kormendi was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Rosary will be celebrated Wednesday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE with Sister Bea Hunt and Judy Kruse, reciting. Services will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE with Paul Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Wednesday, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
