Hil Griego, November 30, 1923 - April 4, 1998, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away early Saturday. Mr. Griego served his country fighting in WWII in the Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo Griego and Petra Gomez-Griego; and one son, Marvin Griego. Mr. Griego is survived by his wife, Martha, being married for 54 years; six sons, Johnnie Griego and wife, Helen, Orlando Griego, Albert Griego and wife, Annette, Alex Griego and wife, Ann Marie, Florian Griego, David Griego and wife, Denise; one daughter, Dolores Candelaria and husband, Gilbert; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Alfred Griego, Adrian Griego, Michael Griego, Florian Griego Jr., Adrian Garcia and Frank Padilla. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated this morning, 9:00 a.m., at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St. NW, Gary F. Santillanes, C.F.S.P.
