Obituary for Chavez

Mr. Manuel M. Chavez, 73, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peaceful at home in the arms of his loving family on December 3, 1998. Mr. Chavez was the beloved husband of 56 years to Mrs. Timmie Chavez. He is also survived by four daughters, Frances Espinoza and husband, Jimmy, Irene M. Griego and husband, Pable, Josie (Betty) Sedillo and husband, Nick and Elizabeth (Dean) Pacheco and husband, David; one sister, Augustine (Jessie) Rodriguez; three brothers, Toby Chavez, Robert Chavez and Ernest Chavez; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in World War II. A Rosary will be recited Sunday afternoon, 3:00 p.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church with visitation after 2:30 p.m. at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning, 9:00 a.m., at Holy Family Church with final viewing at the church after 8:30 a.m. Father Jack, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:00 noon. Pallbearers will be David Pacheco, John Pacheco, Pablo Griego, Fr. Eddie Sedillo, Definio Garcia and Scot Brown. Honorary will be Lawrence Gallegos. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of arrangements.
