Obituary for Cuddihy

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Saturday December 05, 1998

Karen Louise Cuddihy, our dearest Karen, died sadly and tragically on Thursday, November 10, 1998. She was 32 years old and lived in Albuquerque. She is survived by her parents, Richard and Bobbie; sisters, Debbie, Julie and Meghan; brothers, Sean and Rick; grandfather, John Phillips; and as well as extended family. Over the last several years she magically touched the lives of countless children with cancer through the UNM Hospital Cancer Clinic and Camp Enchantment. She was a support group facilitator with the UNM Women's Center. As an academic tutor, Karen challenged and inspired many students to their true potentials. Karen attended St. Pius X High School, received a Bachelors degree in Psychology from UNM, and attended the University of West Virginia and UNM for graduate studies. We celebrate Karen's grace, love, dedication and selflessness to all she knew and loved. Funeral Mass will be celebrated this Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel Ave. NE, near Tramway and Paseo Del Norte. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations in Karen's name to the All Faiths Receiving Home, P.O. Box 6573, 87197. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
