Obituary for Tessler

Bertha Gertrude Tessler, age 78, was a resident of Albuquerque for 45 years and for that entire period was a member of Congregation B'nai Israel. She was employed by Montgomery Ward in Winrock, and retired after 20 years. She was also a member of the Women's Army Corps, from which she received an honorable discharge. She was a volunteer for the Friendship Club and the Jewish Federation of Greater Albuquerque. She was a resident of Shalom House from its very inception. She was preceded in death by her sisters Rana Adler and Clare Bloom and brother, Bernard Tessler. She is survived by her sister, Anne Felsen of Albuquerque; brother-in-law, Hy Adler of Albuquerque; nephews, David and Paul Bloom, Les and Robert Adler and Michael Felsen; and nieces, Judy and Barbara Felsen. Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 4, 1998 in Fairview Memorial Park, B'Nai Israel Section, with Rabbi Isaac Celnik and Cantor Josh Perlman officiating. Following the graveside service there will be a reception and memorial service at the Shalom House. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Shalom House. .DMP
