Obituary for Surber

Wilda Surber, age 91, a resident of Albuquerque for 48 years, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 1998. She is survived by her three daughters, Margaret Surber Armijo of Albuquerque, Joan Carlson and husband, Don of Albuquerque, and Lois Neill and husband, Everett of Lubbock, TX; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of Montgomery Church of Christ. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 1998 at the Montgomery Church of Christ with Mr. Bruce T. Thweatt officiating. Jim Williams, Ernest Blair, Ron Jordan, Fred Bitting, Jim Poland and Frank Ulibarri will serve as pallbearers. Irving DeFoor, Carl Johnson, Leon Gardner and Otis Kelley will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in Sandia Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Albuquerque Christian Children's Home, 5700 Winter Haven NW, 87120-2648, or the American Cancer Society, 5800 Lomas Blvd. NE 87110. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE, in charge of arrangements.
