SAM DAZZO, B.A. 1932, J.D. 1935, U. of Colorado. 901 Val Verde, SE, Albuquerque, N.M., 87108. Born Dawson, Colfax County, Territory, N.M., 12-6-1909. Married to FRANCES JOY DAZZO, one son, Sam Dazzo Jr. with these grandchildren, Hallie, Adam and Sam C., Merrick and Sydney Elizabeth Dazzo, and great-grandson, Adam. Admitted to law practice in New Mexico, 1936; and at same time admitted to United States District Court, for the district of New Mexico. Admitted to the United States Supreme Court, the United States Military Court of Appeals. Now retired. Appointed U.S. Commissioner for the District of N.M., 1938-1947, (now federal magistrate). Served in the armed forces of the World War 2 from 1942-1946-34 months of which was in the Pacific Command, attained rank of Major in the J.A.G.D. Written up in the History of New Mexico 1945, and again in the History of New Mexico 1960. Is in Who's Who in New Mexico 1957. Is in Who's Who in the West 1970-1971. Is a member of the following organizations: a. International Platform Assoc. b. Life member of B.P.O. Elks #461 c. Founder and Member of Albuquerque Petroleum Club d. Albuquerque County Club e. AF & AM Lodge 360 f. Ballut Abyad Masonic Temple 32 g. Cree Meadows Country Club h. Alto Lakes Golf and Country Club i. James Smithsonian Society j. Patron Santa Fe Opera k. Smithsonian Society Died-Nov. 24th 1998-Presbyterian Hospital. Services will be held on Friday, Nov. 27, 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo for the family. The family requests the kind thoughts and prayers of his many good friends who he loved and cherished dearly. He will be remembered as a strong, caring and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, who arrived on earth quietly and left it a much better place for his being here.
