Alfred P. Ranagan, age 80, died Tuesday. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sophie in February, 1983; and his son, Keith A. Ranagan in December, 1991. He is survived by his wife, Anne Ranagan; sons, Gary Ranagan of Castro Valley, CA, Mike Ranagan of Sandy, UT; step-children, Mark Lewis of Aztec, NM, Penny Belvin and husband, Mark of Rio Rancho; grandchildren, Shawn, Gary Jr., Holly, Tim, and Stephanie Ranagan, Michael and Jason Belvin; one great-grandchild. Mr. Ranagan was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish, American Legion Post 49, a veteran of WWII, and was retired from Sandia Base. Viewing will be begin 1:00 p.m., Thursday. The Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m., Thursday, in the Chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Friday, in Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, are in charge of arrangements.
