Obituary for Pike

Edith Helen Gault Hillerby Pike, 90, an Albuquerque resident for 2 1/2 years, passed away Saturday, December 11, 1999. Mrs. Pike was born on June 27, 1909 in Crawford City, Missouri to Florence Walls and Thomas Anderson. She married the love of her life, James Jacob Gault on September 15, 1928 in St. Louis, MO. Mr. Gault preceded her in death in 1952. Edith married Robert Hillerby in 1955. She and Mr. Hillerby lived in Albuquerque, Missouri, and Arizona. They were both active in the Southern Baptist Church, as well as the Masons. She served in many positions with the Eastern Star. Mr. Hillerby preceded her in death. Edith later married Richard Pike and they lived in Oklahoma until his death. She is survived by sons, Richard Gault and wife, Evelyn of Albuquerque, Robert Gault and wife, Sheila of San Jose, CA; daughter, Deloris Halling and husband, Gene of Clearfield, UT; son-in-law, Lloyd Walston of Kansas; ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her three husbands, Mrs. Pike was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Oscar; sisters, Rosetta; and a daughter, Janice Walston. Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, 1999, at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd. SE. French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
