Obituary for White

James Robert"Bob" White, 52, a resident of Albuquerque since 1980, died Wednesday, December 15, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Joan E. Cox; daughter, Amanda Lyn White; grandson, Davian Alexander White; brother, Edwin Clifton White; sister, Colleen Elizabeth Thayer; and many family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Clifton White Jr. and Doris Lucille Henrichsen White; and sister, Kathlyn Sue White. Bob was born September 2, 1947 in Clovis, NM. He received a BBA in 1970 from Eastern New Mexico University followed an MBA in 1976. He began his career with New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department in 1970 and retired from the Department in December of 1996. During his career, he played an active role as a lobbyist for the Taxation and Revenue Department and was a member of the department's legislative team. Bob was an active member in ministry at Covenant United Methodist Church. He also served faithfully on the Board of Directors, Wesley Foundation at UNM; Albuquerque Central Camp of Gideons International; The New Mexico Walk and Kairos Ministry. A celebration of his life and the Resurrection will be held at Covenant United Methodist Church, 8510 Wyoming NE at 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 20, 1999. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons International, Albuquerque Central Camp, P.O.
