Obituary for Putman

Sallie Pearl Putman, 94, a resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, December 20, 1999, after a short illness. She is survived by her son, Forrest Putman of Albuquerque; grandson, Christopher Southard of Hawaii; and sister, Bessie Duncan of Clarksville, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest. Pearl was born in Clarksville, GA on November 12, 1905. She moved with her husband to Litchfield Park, AZ in 1931 as a part of the Goodyear Test Fleet. Pearl worked at the Litchfield Aircraft Plant and later at Motorola in Scottsdale, AZ. She was extremely proud of the many thousands of volunteer hours spent at Maryvale Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. In 1985, Pearl moved to Albuquerque to be near her son. She will be missed by her many loving friends. Services will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Gary Fichtner, Charles Mosher, Garret Fichtner, Paul Sjodal, Christopher Southard, Bill Wixted and Kent Miller. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Albuquerque, 3333 Truman NE 87110 or to the charity of your choice. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
