Lewis Lopez, age 83, of Santa Fe, died on Monday, December 20, 1999. He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Lopez; his brother, Nestor Lopez; and brothers-in-law, Eloy Pacheco and Chris Valdez. Mr. Lopez was born on August 28, 1916 in Maxwell, NM. He was a graduate of Springer High School, NM. On June 27, 1948, he married Kathryn Lopez in Albuquerque. He was employed in various managerial positions at Ford dealerships. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 51 years, Kathryn Lopez of Santa Fe; son, Ralph Lopez of Austin, TX; brothers, Eliseo Lopez and wife, Katherine of Birmingham, AL and Miguel A. Lopez and wife, Lupita of La Mirada, CA; sisters, Martha Pacheco of Pueblo, CO, Mary Valdez of Springer, NM, Theresa Lopez and husband, Eddie of Prescott, AZ; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, December 22, 6:30 p.m., at San Isidro Catholic Church where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 23, 10:30 a.m., at San Isidro Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Vincent Hospital Respiratory Department or your favorite charity.
