Obituary for Woolsey

Muriel Woolsey, 84, a resident of Rio Rancho and formerly of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 1999. Muriel was born October 5, 1915 in San Jose, California, the daughter of Matthew Houston and Martha Arreana Woolsey. Muriel came to New Mexico in 1944. She had worked at the Albuquerque Hilton and in the 1950's she was voted Albuquerque's Most Popular Waitress. She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Chandler; and one grandson, Michael Woods. Muriel is survived by two daughters, Faye Woods and Melba Kaszuba and husband, Richard, all of Rio Rancho; seven grandchildren, Monte Woods and wife, Rae, Bill Woods and wife, Heather, Cindy Richie and husband, Wayne, all of Albuquerque, Karen Hilton, Rosanne Anaya and husband, Alex, James Kaszuba and wife, Sandy, all of Rio Rancho, Darrell Chandler of Albuquerque; and ten great-grandchildren. Muriel was a loving mother, grandmother and will be deeply missed. Private family services were held at Vista Verde Memorial Park. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho.
