Obituary for Schutzberger

Henry"Hank" Schutzberger, 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Wednesday, December 22, 1999, after a lengthy illness. A former native of Chicago, IL, Hank came to Albuquerque in August 1947. Resigning from a teaching position at the University of Illinois, he worked at the School of Mines Research Division in Albuquerque. When the school relocated to Socorro, Hank worked for the Sandia Corporation for the next 17 years. After Sandia, he was head of a private company, Magnum Engineering, contracting with Sandia and Los Alamos. He is survived by his wife, June of the family home; son, Richard Schutzberger and wife, Kathy; daughter, Helen Lang and husband, Berel; son, Dennis Williams and wife, Linda; four grandchildren; and longtime friend, Charlie McRae. Cremation has taken place and private memorial services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Quality Continuum Hospice, 2625 Pennsylvania NE, Suite 225, 87110.
