Madelyn Compton Parrish, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1993, died Thursday, December 23, 1999. She is survived by one daughter, Norma J. Goodwin of Albuquerque; one son, Dr. Richard L. Eddings of Orlando, FL; step-sons, Bill Parrish and wife, Loretta of Traverse City, MI and Ed Parrish and wife, Susan of Cape May, NJ; brothers, James Compton and wife, Alice Betty of Metropolis, IL, Don Compton of Ypsilamti, MI, Ken Compton and wife, Vondeen of Nashville, TN; sister, Betty Ray of Metropolis, IL; brother-in-law, Forrest Eddings of Paducah, KY; sisters-in-law, Virgie Wilson and husband, Jack of Paducah, KY and Mildred Falwell of Lewiston, ID; grandchildren, Carl Goodwin and Jane Hotchkiss (Kris) of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Chris Hotchkiss, Robert Hotchkiss, Joseph Hotchkiss, all of Albuquerque; and many other extended family members, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by her husbands, Norman K. Eddings, in 1978 and L.F. Parrish, in 1993. She was a member of Heights Church of Christ, and a former Montgomery Blvd. Church of Christ in Albuquerque, Metropolis Church of Christ in Metropolis, IL, Broadway Church of Christ in Paducah, KY, and Cherry St. Church of Christ in Mt. Vernon, IL. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., prior to services on Sunday, December 26, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, with Mr. Dee Lancaster officiating. Interment will take place in Metropolis, IL.
