Estevan Saavedra 74, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother was called home to be with the Lord Friday, Dec. 24, 1999. Estevan was a hard working businessman for many years. He was the owner of a prosperous company called"Steve Saavedra and Sons Sand and Gravel." He is survived by his loving wife Deluvina, sons Steve Jr. and wife Eloisa Saavedra, Raymond and wife Mary Saavedra, and Celso Saavedra, daughters Dolores Gonzales, Rosemarie and husband Leonard Montano, and Lorraine Salas, brother Chris Saavedra, sisters Becky Gonzales and Rose Gallegos, 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Holy Family Church 562 Atrisco Dr. SW the Rosary will be recited Tuesday Dec. 28, 1999 at 7:00 pm and Mass to be celebrated Wednesday at 9:00am with burial to follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Saavedra, Raymond Saavedra Jr., Christopher Saavedra, Ronnie Gonzales, Adrian Montano and Carlos Salas. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services 2919 4th NW 343-8008.
