Obituary for Kohlman

Earl Francis Kohlman, 70, an Albuquerque resident for 48 years, passed away at home October 23, 1999. Earl was born and raised in Cascade, Wisconsin, and served in the Air Force four years. Upon discharge Betty and Earl decided to make Albuquerque their home, after being stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base, to have and raise their six children. Earl was a retired real estate broker, one of the founders of Young American Football League, officiated football for 30 years in YAFL, High School, and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, was included into the NM Officials Association Hall of Fame in 1996. He was an avid golfer with two hole's in one, and an enthusiastic Green Bay Packer fan. He was the charter Grand Knight of the JFK Counsel #5729 of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty; sons, Mark Kohlman, Paul Kohlman and wife, Amy, TK Kohlman; daughters, Lynn Walkowski and husband, Ray, Tara McDowell and husband, Jerry, Mary Perea and husband, Ken. He was blessed with ten grandchildren, Adam and Justin Kohlman, Jacob, Jill and Scott Walkowski, Ryan, Casey and Cory McDowell, Madeline Velarde and Natalia Kohlman. Also survived by sisters, Mary Coerper, Ceil Tracy and husband, Joe; brother, Neil Kohlman and wife, Liz; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends who loved and will miss the joy he brought to their lives. Funeral services will be held at John XXIII Catholic Community Church, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE, with Rosary and Mass celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 28, 1999 with interment following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
