Michael W."Mike" Capels, age 30, passed away on October 10, 1999 in Des Moines, Iowa, where he was a resident since 1992. He loved fishing and hunting in Iowa. Mike was born in Albuquerque on October 2, 1969, was a longtime resident and attended schools in Albuquerque until he moved to Iowa. He is survived by his father, William and wife, Nancy Capels of Albuquerque; his mother, Helen and husband, Dale Strong of Tempe, AZ; his sisters, Karen and husband, Kenneth Miller of McKinney, TX, Kathryn and husband, Stewart of Sarasota, FL; his brother, Christopher and wife, Rachelle Capels of Santa Cruz, CA; his nephew, Gregory Miller; and by his niece, Kelly Miller. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 1999, 6:30 p.m., at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church (8600 Academy Rd. NE) with Pastor Larry Moss officiating. Private interment will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Door of Faith Mission, 1006 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50309.
