Obituary for Dickson

Les Dickson, 71, died Tuesday, October 19, 1999, after fighting an 11 year battle with leukemia. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Dickson of the family home; son, Steven Dickson and wife, Karen of Dallas, TX; daughter, Susan Dees and husband, Nolan; and grandchildren, Cullen and Cortlyn Dees all of Albuquerque. Mr. Dickson was born in Houston, TX, on October 4, 1928. He was a resident there until moving to Albuquerque seven years ago. Mr. Dickson was a graduate of Lamar High School in Houston, TX and was a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, TX. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He then went on to pursue his career in electrical engineering in various fields including, oil companies and N.A.S.A. Here in Albuquerque, Mr. Dickson was a member of Hoffmantown Church. Services will be held Friday, 12:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming NE, with Rev. Ken Moore officiating. Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be Steve Dickson, Nolan Dees, Cullen Dees, Myron Dees, S.R. Davis and Harold Hazen. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Berry, Paul Ofield, Bill Grindstaff and Sabin Marshall.
