Obituary for Davis

Pauline Margurete Davis was born December 31, 1921 in Loving-Young County, Texas, the second of six children of James C. and Annie Lee Miller. The family moved from Flag, Texas to Ranchvale in the fall of 1934, where she and her high-school sweetheart, L.E. (Pete) Davis were among the 13 members of the 1938 graduating class of Ranchvale High School. They were married at her parents home in Ranchvale on December 13, 1941, and spent their lives farming in the Ranchvale community. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; and her youngest sister, Frankie Glen. She is survived by L.E. (Pete) Davis, her husband, of Clovis; son, Kenneth Davis and his wife, Jacqueline of Clovis; daughter, Irene and her husband, Bob Jones of Bosque Farms; three grandchildren, Robbie, K.C. and Bonnie Jones; brothers and sisters, Cleo Miller Qualls of Clovis, Shannon Miller Perkins of Dumas, TX, J.C. Miller of Sun City, AZ and Richard Miller of Clovis. Pauline was a member of Kingswood Methodist Church, Cattle Capital Cowbelles, and the Ranchvale Homemakers Extension Club. She also was a member of Farm Bureau and accompanied her husband to numerous state and national Farm Bureau conventions and other events. Services will be held on Thursday, October 21, 1999, 10:00 a.m., at Kingswood Methodist Church with Dr. Mark Scott and assisted by Dr. Herbert Bergstrom. Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens with John Reid, Hubert Qualls, Doug Reid, Billy Tate, C.B. Strebeck, Charles Petty, LaRoy Lockmiller, and Frank Rutlege serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Cotton Simms, Nolan Beaver, Haney Tate, Tootie Lockmiller, Gary Lockmiller, Bill Patton, and Victor Stout. Steed-Todd Funeral Home, 800 E.
