Obituary for Meyer

Gordon August Meyer, born November 17, 1924, passed away on October 11, 1999 at the age of 74. He was born in Minneapolis, MN and was a resident of New Mexico for 32 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving his country in World War II. He served the community of Paradise Hills as a school crossing guard for 20 years at Sierra Vista Elementary School before retiring. He was a faithful and loving husband for 53 years. His passion was gardening and his greatest joy was his two daughters and six grandchildren. A rose garden service was conducted on October 18, 1999 at Vista Verde Memorial Park and a Memorial service will be held on October 23, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at Tabernacle of Praise, 6013 Paradise Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Alta Mira Specialized Family Services-Fund for Autistic Children, 1605 Carlisle NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Sunrise Society is serving the family of Mr. Meyer, (891-8200).
