Frank N."Powder" Knoblock, 76, died at 1:05 p.m., Wednesday, October 6, 1999, at the Medicalodge in Neosho, Missouri. Powder was born July 14, 1923, in Magdalena, New Mexico, to Fred P."Dutch" Knoblock and Alice V. Field Knoblock. He served in the United States Army from 1942-1945. He was a patrolman with the New Mexico State Police, Chief of Police in Grants, New Mexico, Deputy United States Marshall, rancher and antique dealer. Powder lived in Neosho, Missouri, for the last eight years, where he ran an antique shop, Powder's Place. He retired due to illness and spent the last few years in the Medicalodge in Neosho. Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Kathryn Walker of Roswell, New Mexico, Peggy Neil Boyd of Mountainburg, Arkansas, and Mary Frances Knoblock; and two sisters, Barbara Rawdon of Grants, New Mexico, and Jo Castillo of Bastrop, Texas. Memorial services were held in Neosho at the United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in Powders name.
