Matilda Cordova Gonzales, age 92, passed away on Friday, October 8, 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel M. Gonzales and daughter, Toni Montano. She is survived by three daughters, Anna Linthicum of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Nester Castillo of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Patricia Burlingame of Albuquerque, New Mexico; three sons, Edward C. Gonzales and wife, Betty L. of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Desi Gonzales of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Julian Gonzales of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. She was a life long resident of New Mexico, and a member of San Felipe Church. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE on Sunday, October 10, 1999. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Palm Chapel 1100 Caol Ave SE on Sunday, October 10, 1999. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at San Felipe De Neri on Monday, October 11, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Leo Lucero officiating. Pallbearers will be Danny Castillo, Danny Gonzales, Edmund Mata, Desi Gonzales, Michael Montano, and Julian Sandoval. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE in charge of arrangements.
