Obituary for Vander Heyden

James A. Vander Heyden, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, died suddenly Friday, November 19, 1999. He is survived by his sons, John C. Vander Heyden, James V. Vander Heyden; and grandson Jimmy S. Vander Heyden, all of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alma C. Vander Heyden. Born January 1, 1936, in Tonawanda, NY, he relocated here with parents, Fred and Alma in 1956. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant in 1960 with the Army National Guard's 429th Company, in Fort Bliss, TX. A devoted father and grandfather, he always met the needs of his family and loved ones before his own. He had a great passion for fishing New Mexico's streams and lakes, and was an avid Baseball fan. A special thank you from the family to Kathy Hoy and Mr. Bob Roybal of Albuquerque. Memorial services will be held Friday, November 26, 10:00 a.m., at Garcia Chapel, 717 Stover SW.
