Obituary for Martin

Richard"Dick" Martin, a nuclear engineer for Lawrence Livermore Laboratory for 33 years, died after a short battle with cancer on November 8, 1999, in his home in Livermore. He was 61. Born on July 2, 1938 in Easton, PA, he had lived in Livermore for 31 years. Mr. Martin served in the U.S. Army for four years. He enjoyed woodworking, and his spare time, he was"Mr. Fix-it." He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Anne Martin of Livermore; a son, Jeffrey Martin of Livermore; a sister, Grace Brooks of Albuquerque; and one grandchild. A Memorial service was held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 16, in the Chapel of Callahan Mortuary, 3833 East Ave., Livermore. Burial was private.
