Obituary for Jaramillo

George"Tio George" Jaramillo, age 83, born in Cuba, NM, March 13, 1917, passed away Sunday, November 12, 1999. He was preceded in death by his father, Rey Jaramillo; his mother, Christina Garcia; brothers, Rey, Alfredo, Atonacia and Mariano; sisters, Eufima, Senida Casaus and Trinidad Ramirez; his sons, Roberto and Richard Ricardo. He is survived by his loving wife, Ernestina; his daughter, Christina Jaramillo; his sons, George Jr., Florencio and Toribio; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews; and many good friends. George was a member of Conservation Corps. of Son Luis Obispo. He served in WWII and survived the Normandy Landing. Returning to his hometown after the war, he later moved to the Albuquerque, where he retired after 20 years as a mail subcontractor. He enjoyed his retirement years working for the Bernalillo Senior Center. A Rosary will be recited today, November 23, 1999 at 7:00 p.m., this evening, at the Our Lady of Sorrows in Bernalillo. The time and place for the Mass of Christian Burial is pending. Interment to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St. NW, Gary F.
