Obituary for Gunther

Eugene Charles Gunther passed away November 20, 1999. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Gunther; three sons, Tim Gunther of Los Lunas, NM, Ted R. Gunther of Albuquerque, Gene Gunther of Denver, CO; six daughters, Jane Castillone and husband Raphael of Normal, IL, Mary Hoshito and husband, Dennie of Colorado Springs, CO, Chery Otero and husband, Reverend Denies of Albuquerque, NM, Cindy Walker and husband, Bruce of Albuquerque, Marcy Gunther of Albuquerque, and Beth Gunther of Albuquerque; one sister, Lillian Juech and husband, Dan of Albuquerque; one brother; Emil Gunther and wife, Sophie of Shefoygan, WI. Eugene cherished his large family. He attended the CBI Campaign and received a bronze star medal. He was in the United States Army as a Sergeant in the WWII, Korean War. He was an avid Greenbay Packer fan. He enjoyed golf, horses and was an equestrian skilled rider. Eugene was a member of the American Legion Post 69, and attended the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church since 1970. Friends may visit Wednesday, November 24, 1999 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alameda Mortuary. A Memorial service will be Wednesday evening, November 24, 1999 at 9:00 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Interment to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Services to be entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St. NW, Norbert"Ray" Baldonado Jr. F.S.I.
