Obituary for Crutcher

Benjamin Dyer Crutcher, a retired maintenance controller with the U.S. Air Force, died November 21, 1999 at a Fort Worth hospital. Born January 3, 1920 in Miami, FL, he retired in 1972 from Cape Kennedy Air Force Base, where he worked with the Apollo Program. He was an elder at First Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque, and taught optical technology at Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute from 1978-1986. He and his wife moved to Fort Worth in 1995. Full Military Honors will be afforded MSgt. Crutcher at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 24, 1999, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sarah Crutcher of Fort Worth; daughters, Pamela Schaff and Susan Crutcher, both of Azle and a grandson, Justin Schaaf of Azle.
