Ventura (Bennie) Ulivarri peacefully went home to be with Jesus, Mary and Joseph...and all those who loved and prayed for her. She was born July 14, 1919 and is survived by her husband of 59 years, Gilbert Ulivarri; three children, Gilbert Ulivarri Jr. and wife, Mary Esther of Belen, Marie Korte and husband, Alvin of Las Vegas, NM, and A. Terese (Tinky) Ulivarri also of Belen; five grandchildren, Angela Trujillo and husband, Raymond, Katherine Korte-Smith and husband, Brian, William Korte and wife, Kristi, Eric Ulivarri, and Richard Korte; four great-grandchildren, Raymond and Rhianna T. Trujillo, Khallen Korte, and Rhianna Korte; two sisters, Angie Gonzales of Albuquerque, and Margaret Martinez and husband, Alfredo of Santa Fe; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church and Sacred Heart League. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Romedios Sanchez; one sister, Flora Ornelas; and her brother, Genaro Sanchez. She was a woman of great faith, who dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren."Nana, if there is a bowling alley in Heaven, you're throwing strikes; and if there is a bingo in Heaven, you hit the jackpot." Viewing will be held on Monday at 5:00 p.m. with Rosary following at 6:00 p.m., both at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. also at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
