Obituary for Vodian

Jacqueline Joy Shipman Vodian, 56, a resident of Albuquerque since 1974, died Tuesday, November 16, 1999. Jacqueline is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ronald H. Vodian; daughter, Nicole L. Vodian; and four beloved cats. Mrs. Vodian was preceded in death by her father, Sherman Shipman; and her mother, Aileen Watson Shipman. She was born in Fresno, CA. Having received her BA at the University of New Mexico and her MA at the University of Colorado, she worked for nine years at the University of New Mexico as a guidance counselor, and most recently as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Jacqueline was past president of the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra Guild, a member of the Albuquerque Junior League, a member of the Santa Fe Opera Guild, and a volunteer for Casa Angelica. She will always be remembered for her love of family, friends, animals, music and beauty. A memorial service will be held Sunday, 3:00 p.m., at the University of New Mexico Alumni Chapel with Reverend Kathryn Newman officiating. Should friends desire, memorial contributions are being accepted by the Albuquerque Community Foundation, P.O.
