Evelyn A. Davis, 93, passed away on November 18, 1999 in Albuquerque. She was born in Franklinton, NC and moved to New York after college, where she was a social worker for immigrant placement. She moved to Albuquerque in 1989 and was a member of St. Chad Episcopal Church. Her husband, James Davis, preceded her in death in 1975. Mrs. Davis is survived by by a daughter, Miriam Stucker of Albuquerque; sisters, Beatrice Penn of New York, NY and Adelyn Allen and Lucille Quinichett, both of Rocky Mount, NC; a nephew, Junius Allen of New York, NY; and many loving cousins and friends. Graveside services are pending with Cutchins Funeral Home, Franklinton, NC. A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 5, 1999, at St. Chad Episcopal Church, 7171 Tennyson Dr. NE, Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Mexico Cancer Research or the American Cancer Society. Local arrangements by Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
