Obituary for De Vore

Gerald"Jerry" E. De Vore, 66, a resident of Albuquerque for 1 1/2 years, died Thursday, November 18, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dorothy J. De Vore of the family home; son, Curtis V. De Vore and wife, Charlotte of Dallas, TX; daughter, Debora Casey and husband, Paul of Birmingham, AL; grandson, Justin Smith of Lubbock, TX; granddaughters, Danielle and Carolyn Casey of Birmingham, AL; mother, Grace Sackman of Mesa, AZ; brother, Monte De Vore and wife, Nancy of Mesa, AZ; and nieces, Jennifer Miller and Kimberly De Vore of Birmingham, AL. Mr. De Vore was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He lived most of his life in Phoenix, AZ and El Paso, TX. He worked as a Nuclear Engineer for the Atomic Energy Commission in Idaho Falls, ID and General Dynamics in Ft. Worth, TX. Mr. De Vore earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas, El Paso, TX. He did graduate work at the University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ. Services will be held Saturday, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University NE, with Pastor David Snyman officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
