Obituary for Ortiz

Anthony"Tony" Ortiz, 81, passed away November 17, 1999. He was a longtime resident of Albuquerque, served in WWII as a staff sergeant, company"F", 158 Infantry Regiment, with Bushmasters and the Alamo Scouts, a member of All Nations Assembly of God Church, and retired from Southwest Indian Polytechnic Institute. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie A. Ortiz; and son, Henry Gilbert Ortiz. He is survived by children, Patrick J. Wirries and wife, Susan, Mildred Joe and husband, Arnold, Theresa Lott and husband, Ron Sr.; grandchildren, Trish, Diane, Tom, Dawn, Jason, James, Marcella, Monica, Sabrina, Anthony, Ron Jr., Jamaal; a host of great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Heart, Esther Martinez, Bertha Burke; sister-in-law, Crucita Ortiz of Denver; numerous other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at All Nations Assembly of God Church at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 22, 1999, Pastor Bill Frague officiating, with burial following at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
