Obituary for Rhea

Elanor Rhea, 91, was a long time resident of Los Alamos. Elanor passed away on Friday, February 19, 1999 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Joe Murdock in Rio Rancho. Elanor was born March 17, 1907 in Roddy, Texas the daughter of James and Lida Milling Miller. Elanor's parents homesteaded in Eastern New Mexico in the early 1900's. She taught first grade in the Los Alamos Public Schools for 36 years, and prior to that had taught fourth grade and preschool for a total of approximately 46 years of teaching. Elanor is survived by her daughter, Mary Murdock of Rio Rancho; one brother, J.M. Miller of MartinView, ARK; one sister, Mary Opal Tate of Broadview, NM; three grandchildren, Jerry Murdock of CA, Andrew Murdock of Los Alamos, Michael Moore of Rio Rancho; five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary Sara Rd at Meadowlark, Rio Rancho, New Mexico 892-9920.
