Obituary for Gould

Loretta Gould, born March 2, 1931 in Paterson, New Jersey, died Saturday, February 20, 1999. She is survived by her sisters, Evelyn Everett of Albuquerque and Dorothy Tideman and husband, Jack of New Jersey; brother, Robert Gould and wife, Eileen of Connecticut; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. At age five, Loretta and her sister, Dorothy, performed on stage billed as the"Youngest Saxophone Players in the World." She was New Jersey State Roller Skating Champion, created costumes, and judged competitions in the region. Later, she managed a dress shop where she designed and made custom clothing. She moved to Albuquerque in 1984 where many enjoy wearing her original hand-knit"Rheta Sweatas." Loretta enjoyed playing cards with her friends at Terrace Park where she made her home.
