Lt. Col. (Ret.) James S. Laycock Jr., 81, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away early Tuesday morning. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Brigitte Laycock; daughter, Brigitte Taylor and husband, Steve; son, James Paul Laycock and wife, Elizabeth of Taos, NM; grandsons, Stephen, Mathew and John Carl Laycock of Taos, NM; brother, Richard Laycock of St. Charles, MO; and sister-in-law, Renate Plummer and husband, Robert. Services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., at Fitzgerald & Sons Chapel, 3113 Carlisle NE. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
