Mr. Joe R. Garcia, 78, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on February 17, 1999. Mr. Garcia is the beloved husband of 58 years to Mrs. Faye Garcia. He is also survived by two daughters, Gloria Yarbrough and husband, Warren and Stella Garcia and fiance, Jim Beebe; four sons, Ralph J. Garcia Jr., and wife, Lucille, Ted W. Garcia and wife, Estella, Ron Garcia and Jimmy P. Garcia; two brothers, Leonard Garcia and Isaac Garcia; 21 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Juan and Mary Garcia and a son, John"Sonny". Mr. Garcia was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Westside Four Square Church. A prayer service was held Thursday evening in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with viewing after 9:00 a.m. Pastor Norm and Brenda Schwentor, Officiating. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:00 noon. Pallbearers will be, Ralph J. Garcia Jr., Ted W. Garcia, Ron Garcia, Jimmy P. Garcia, Sidney Ruiz and Jim Beebe. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.
