Helen T. Garcia, 76, a resident of Belen, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 1999 at her daughter's home in Bosque Farms. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Helen was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Monica Barela in 1997. She is survived by her ten children, Odilia Pacheco and her husband, Leroy, Lorraine Romero and her husband, Gilbert, Corrine Garcia, Linda Cordova and her husband, Salomon, Pearl Gabaldon, Priscilla Barela and her husband, Telesfor, Margaret Garcia and her husband, Pat, Geraldine Stanford and her husband, Dale, Tommy Garcia, Mary Cordova and her husband, Robert; 26 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sally Sanchez, Emily Chavez, Dorothy Romero, Esperanza Galvan, and Reyna Galindo. Helen in survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Romero Funeral Home, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 12:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leroy Pacheco, Gilbert Romero, Salo Cordova, Telesfor Barela, Robert Cordova, Pat Garcia, Richard Marquez, and Dale Stanford.
