Obituary for Cordova

Eddie Cordova, 72, a resident of Mora, NM, passed away on February 17, 1999, following a lengthy illness. He was born August 18, 1927 in Holman, NM, son of Felipe and Trinidad Cordova. He was a member of St. Gertrude Church in Mora. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felipe and Trinidad Cordova; also three brothers, Reynaldo, Jose, Cayetano Cordova. He is survived by Rose Cordova; two daughters, Joyce and husband, Felix Vigil of Albuquerque, Paula and husband, Albert Quintana of Denver, CO; seven sons, Trinnie Cordova and wife, Ruby from Mora, Ray Cordova from Albuquerque, Melvin Cordova and wife, Carmen from Mora, Ronnie from Mora, Martin Cordova from Albuquerque, Anthony Cordova from Albuquerque, Carlos Cordova from Albuquerque. He had 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. He has two brothers, Gilbert Cordova and wife, Betty from Albuquerque, Manuel Cordova from Mora; four sisters, Dolores Casados and husband, Louis from Cleveland, NM, Isabel Duran from Rainsville, Donnie Gandert and husband, William from Mora, Arcelia Melendez and husband, Frank from Albuquerque. He also has many friends, nephews, nieces and relatives. Pallbearers will be Trinnie, Melvin, Ronnie, Ray, Martin, Anthony. Services will be held Saturday, February 20, 7:00 p.m., at St. Therese Church in Albuquerque. There will be a Rosary recited on Sunday, February 21, 7:00 p.m., at St. Gertrude's Church in Mora. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 22, 9:00 a.m., at St. Gertrude's in Mora. Burial will follow at the Holman Cemetery.
