Mr. Fred S. Chavez, 66, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on August 30, 1999. Mr. Chavez is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Emelda; one son, Freddie Chavez, Jr. and wife, Vivian; sisters, Yvone Luna and husband, Luis and Helen Montoya and husband, Jim; brothers, Tim Chavez and wife, Henrietta and Augie Chavez and wife, Mary Helen; five grandchildren, Sarah, Abram, Nathan, Tara and Ester. Mr. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Thursday evening in the St. Anne Church, 1400 Arenal SW from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Mr. Jose Cisneros. Final visitation will be Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. in the Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father John Shedlock. Interment will follow in the San Jose De Armijo Cemetary. Pallbearers will be Tim Chavez, Augie Chavez, Freddie Chavez Jr., Luis Luna, Harry Sanchez and Jim Montoya. Gabladon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW in charge of arrangements.
