Arline B. Menkis, 70, passed away on August 27, 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman B. Menkis. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, and in 1987, she and her husband came to live in Albuquerque. Arline was actively involved in volunteer work with the Presbyterian Pickard Nursing Home, Presbyterian Hospital, and her local neighborhood watch. She is survived by two sons, Ben Menkis and wife, Barbara, and Dan Menkis and wife, Angie, and grandchildren, Jimmy Sweeney, Erin Sweeney, and Heather Menkis. She is also survived by her older sister, Marcia Tanzman and husband, Jack; brothers, Erwin Siegel and wife, Barbara, and Michael Siegel and wife, and her very best friend, Gilda; and beloved friends, Christine and David Lohkamp and their children, Courtney, Jordan and Tina and Steve Bersen and their family. Graveside services were held on Tuesday at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
