Obituary for Tapia

Annie G. Tapia, age 81, passed away August 27, 1999 in Albuquerque following an illness. Annie was born July 21, 1918 in Yeso, NM to the home of Procopio and Macedonia Trujillo Tapia. Annie Married Isidore Tapia on April 13, 1940. She was a member of St. Marys parish in Vaughn, she was a devoted and wonderful mother, grandmother and sister. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Isadore Tapia; a son, Dory Tapia, Jr.; a grandson, Michael Gutierrez; and her brother, Willie Guana. Survivors include three daughters, Joanne Tapia, Frances Gutierrez, Ameila Garcia and husband, Carlos all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Angela Gutierrez of Albuquerque, Philip Tapia St. John of Portland, Oregon, Dorreen And Eric Farrar of California; great-grandchildren, Michael-Ann Sisneros and Kianna Farrar. Brother, Adolph Guana and wife, Erma; sisters, Rebecca Guana, Amelia Romo and husband, Tony all of Vaughn, and Esther Chavez and husband, Carlos of Albuquerque. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be conducted on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Church in Vaughn. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 a.m. also from St. Mary's church with Father Patrick Duffy, officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Vaughn.
