Ruth Bibo Swiggart, of Santa Fe, died August 23, 1999 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Stamford, Texas on August 16, 1912, having lived for 87 years. Ruth taught elementary school for many years in Santa Fe, then retired to open a boutique downtown. She is survived by a daughter, Jane Ford; a son, Thomas and his wife, Janice of Santa Fe; granddaughter, Jennifer Ford Diaz and her husband, Ernesto; and great-grandchildren, Tomas and Miranda of Glendale, CA; and a grandson, Thomas Ford of Austin, TX. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Grace Floyd of Blanket, TX. There are also many other family and friends too lengthy to list. Arrangements are being handled by the McGee Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. followed by a service at the chapel on August 26, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
